2007 Meet Information

THE CURTIS XC INVITATIONAL

9:00 am Coaches Meeting
9:30 Boys JV (Top 5)
10:00 Girls JV (all together)
10:45 Boys Varsity
11:15 Girls Varsity
11:45 Open Race
12:15 Awards Ceremony

THE COURSE The course is a mixture of grass, dirt road, trail, and a small amount of asphalt and sidewalk. XC spikes or flats may be worn.

ENTRY FORM

Please submit your roster by next Monday (September 17). Rosters need to be entered in one of two ways:

--on Athletic.net(much preferred--will save me lots of time!):
1. Enter your rosters into the website using the above link (then find your school, then click the "edit athletes" link on the top of your school page)
2. Add the Curtis Invite to your schedule (using the "edit calendar" link)
3. Submit who will run at the Curtis Invite by using the "Register Athletes" link on the right of the meet front page (to get there click on the link to the Curtis Invitational on your schedule or use this link to get to the meet front page: http://www.athletic.net/CrossCountry/Results/Team.aspx?Cal=12027)
4. Enter in your athletes that you plan to have run at the Curtis Invite.

--email me a list of your athletes that you intend to have run and I will type them into Hy-tek myself. I don't need any certain format or entry form to do this.

It won't matter at all if you enter an athlete in a certain division and want to change them later, so don't worry about that too much. I just need the names to enter them in the system. You choose who runs what race, and the finishers will be entered into the results of that race afterwards.

The open race is free for any JV runners after the top five, as well as for coaches and parents who can enter on race day (there will be a suggested donation of $5 for community members).

AWARDS There will be trophies for the top three teams in both the varsity boys and the varsity girls race. Medals will be given to the top ten individuals in the varsity races. Ribbons will be given to #’s 11-20, as well as to the top ten finishers in each of the other races.

ENTRY FEE $60.00 for a boys and girls team / $40.00 for either a boys or girls team. Please have your accounts office send your entry fee by September 14th, and make the check out to Curtis High School. CURTIS XC INVITE T-SHIRTS There will be t-shirts available for purchase at the stadium. The 2005 version may also be available at a big discount, too!

SERVICES Refreshments will be available at the stadium concession stand. There will be a certified trainer available before, during, and following the meet.

PARKING Buses should enter the lower parking lot by the tennis courts via Grandview Avenue. See the attached directions for how to get to Curtis HS.
